Need Help with Two-Way Sync Between Tables in the Same Base

I'm struggling to set up a two-way sync between two tables in the same Airtable base: Clients and Campaign Management.Here's the Setup: Clients Table: Contains a full list of clients and their program levels. Campaign Management Table: Used to track each client's active campaign status without cluttering the Clients table with extra columns. What I’m Trying to Achieve: When a client is marked as active on a specific campaign (e.g., Facebook) in the Clients table, that status should automatically appear in the Campaign Management table. If the campaign status is turned off in the Campaign Management table, it should also reflect as turned off in the Clients table. Essentially, the campaign status should be mirrored and editable between the two tables in real-time. The Issue: The "Sync Linked Tables" feature under "Share and sync" seems like it should work, but it's greyed out and unavailable when I try to use it. Looking for someone to build a base for me (client/project tracking)

Hello, I am a dog trainer who does  in home private sessions (sold in packages of 3,5, 7 and 9 sessions).I am looking for a way to keep track of where I am with each client (how many lessons have they used/ how many lessons are left?). I also need a way to keep track if I have sent a follow up email after each sessions. I got the idea of Airtable after ChatGPT gave me an example of this base, but alas, the AI cannot create said base. I also need a real person I can tweak things with. I tried to do it myself, I get frustrated not being familiar with AirTable.  I will provide more specifics, but this is pretty much it.

How to solve the problem of Airtable attachment URLs expiring after 2 hours

 If you use Airtable to manage images or videos in your app or website, you might have noticed that attachment URLs (from the “Attachments” field) expire after about 2 hours. This behavior was introduced for security reasons and can cause problems with displaying multimedia content in your applications. The solution: use Cloudinary with Zapier or MakeTo overcome this limitation, I implemented a workflow that uses Cloudinary together with Zapier (or Make) to obtain permanent and public URLs for images or videos. Here’s how it works:Trigger: When a record with an attachment is created or updated in Airtable. File extraction: Zapier retrieves the file via the Airtable URL from the “Attachments” field. Upload to Cloudinary: The file URL is uploaded to Cloudinary, which provides a public and permanent URL. Issues with Tabbing, Arrow Key Navigation, and Copy-Paste Functionality

We have three bases in Airtable, two of which are experiencing issues. The first base works as expected, allowing users to tab between cells, use arrow keys to navigate within cells, and copy-paste data smoothly. However, the second and third bases both have significant problems. In the second base, users can only copy or edit cells by double-clicking into them, and when tabbing, it only interacts with elements outside of Airtable in the browser—arrow keys also don't work. The third base is even more problematic, where none of the usual keyboard navigation features work. Tabbing and using the arrow keys have no effect, and users are stuck on the originally selected cell, unable to move or interact with other cells at all. No recent changes have been made.

I can't scroll left or right using the keyboard arrow keys in the "interface".

I can't move left or right within the rows using the keyboard arrow keys in the "interface". I've been experiencing this issue since yesterday. Also, I'm unable to copy the data within the rows using Ctrl+C.

I am trying to create a list of members who have not made a booking yet.  I have two table; Members and Bookings.  The relationship is one to many i.e. the Bookings table can have many records from one member.  I want to create a view or table which shows me which members don’t have a booking.  We can then contact them and find out why they have signed up and not used the service.

Automations page in Airtable loading really slow

Anybody noticed that or is it just me. It takes forever. Any page on automations, when switching between automation flows, or looking the history etc, it takes about 5 minutes for me to show.UPDATE:Sorry false alarm. Weird. Reloaded the browser and the automation page loads fine now. I would delete the post but I can’t. Not fan of seeing the forum all dark.

Rollup of Text Fields

I’m trying to rollup a text field within an AT interface. I’ve created a Lookup field which is correctly showing duplicate results. However, I want to rollup the duplicates so the result only shows once.Results of my look up are the following:Transactions Policy PolicyThe two “Policy” records are identical and I’d like to roll those up. I’ve tried the rollup up functions, but they seem to only work on values rather than text.

Pros and Cons of Synced Tables

My team’s use of Airtable is growing a lot this year. As we develop new bases, there is basic, teamwide information that is repeated in tables across those bases. For example - locations, events, people.I’ve researched synced tables and feel like I have a basic understanding of how they work. Often, though, my experience is that I learn while building or doing work that a certain feature doesn’t do what I thought it would do based on my research.So I’m just looking for community feedback on this approach - perhaps setting up a base that houses tables with these basic details and then syncing those to multiple other bases. Are there limitations on the way you can use/interact with data that is coming from another table that make this not worth it?

hyperlinks lost for all records when pasted or imported into Airtable

Hi everyone,I'm encountering a data integrity issue when transferring a large set of records from Google Sheets into Airtable, and I’d really appreciate any advice. **Scenario:**  I maintain an a list in Google Sheets. The "Source URL" column contains rich-text hyperlinks — for example, display text like `Narrative Enneagram Resources` linking to `https://www.narrativeenneagram.org/resources/`.**Issue:**  When I click the link, it shows an error because the URL has become http://narrative%20enneagram%20resources/ instead of the correct URL When I try to bring this data into Airtable, the URLs get misconverted. No matter the method I use:- **Copy-pasting** a multi-row range directly into a URL field,  - **Importing** via _Add base ▸ Import data ▸ Google Sheets_, or  - **Exporting as CSV** and importing into Airtable,   **Question:**  Is there any way to preserve the original hyperlinks (i.e., the actual `href` URLs)? Thank you so much for any help!

Seeking AT Guru for CRM Improvements

Hi,UMI FUND are looking for some short term support to improve the functionality of our CRM on AT. We’ve set much of it up and been using it for over a year but have some needs to polish the processes and production of analysis so it works better for us. We don’t have a huge number of contacts / records so don’t foresee it taking a long time. Would broadly encompass the following:Review of current use / needs by staff using AT, and those that could (e.g Finance/Ops, Programmes, Leadership etc) Suggestions and implementation of improvements to process, donor journey through AT. Improvement to production of dashboard / analytics (FR reporting, Board reporting, Projections etc) from data input on AT. Button in Source table to open record in a synced table

Heya community!I have a main table of tasks (source) which is two-way synced out to a few different bases depending on their category/who’s responsible (long story short).In this source table, I’d love a way to have a button open up the record from within one of the specific synced tables. I have a sad feeling this isn’t possible, but would love any help figuring this one out!I know from the synced table I can do this very easily back to the source, but I’d love a way to do it the other way.I really hoped that the record ID would stay the same in both places so I could create a URL that combined the new base/table with the existing record ID, but alas :(

My automations have stopped working all of a sudden

I haven’t used up my automation runs for the month, but all of my automations have stopped working suddenly. They worked yesterday, but today, they aren’t. Each step when tested runs well, but if I try to edit the conditions or create another automation, I get this ‘Sorry your request conflicted with another change’ message.Can anyone help please?

Set up of an automation based on date and status

I added an automation to a task management base that is intended to send a reminder email every month to each staff that has tasks on their list that are not marked as a completed status by the time the email is triggered.This month there were 104 incomplete tasks that about 5 staff are responsible for. The email was triggered and each staff received one email, but in the cc’d line were 104 email addresses so i obviously set it up wrong. See the screenshots of how it is set up- what am i missing?#1 #2

Time problem in gmail mail automation

Hello,When I confirm an appointment by email with the date and time, the times indicated in the email are off by minus 2 hours.For example: I sent an automatic confirmation email with an appointment for Saturday, May 17th, between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM.The email sent by automation indicates the time indicated as 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM.Can you explain what is causing a 2-hour difference between the email I sent and the data in my database?The appointments in my diary are correctly positioned at the right time. "Insert Record As" -> Grid: How to set the order of the columns?

Hey guys, I’m using the “Insert Record As Grid” feature in Airtable (screenshot below). When I choose this, it lets me choose the columns I want included in the grid.The columns of the grid appear in the order of the dropdown list that appears.Where does Airtable take the order of the dropdowns? From a specific view?I want to order the columns differently but it does not work. I have lots of different views, so I don’t know which view determines the order of the columns. Would really appreciate the help! :) Thanks so much in advance!

A field containing the best image available, without manual work

I have a table where there are potentially multiple images available:Two columns linking to other records, then One Lookup column for each of those to look up the image attachment, and then finally, One more column where I paste a screenshot, used for cases where neither of the other links are present.So there are potentially 3 columns which could contain an image attachment. If I were to try to build a sensible gallery or an app, I’d only want one image for many of the views, so I’d like to make a Best Image column.The rules are more or less:Does Source 1 exist? If so, use Source 1 If not, does Source 2 exist? If so, use Source 2 If not, use Screenshot  If I try to do this using a Formula column, I end up with what looks like a URL to the image on dl.airtable.com, instead of it displaying the image. The docs do say that attachments can’t be returned from formulae. The thing it does return may be usable for a webapp still; I haven’t yet tried. At the very least, it isn’t viewable

Is There a Way to Get the Most Recent Prior Value of a Field in a Table (from Prior Row)?

In order to compute a change in a value between a prior record and a newly inserted record, is there a way to get the most recent prior value for a field in a table?Assume table is sorted (e.g., by DateTime).Ideally with a formula something like the pseudocode below where the “Prior_Value” and “Current_Value” are a number, such as: an amount, a quantity, a weight, a height, a length, et cetera.Delta_Value = [Prior_Value_from_Prior_Record - Current_Value_from_Current_Record]Thank you for any and all suggestions!Rick
